Our Founder

Alana Amaker, an educator from Chicago, IL.  In 2004, Alana was diagnosed with ALS, a debilitating disease that makes motor functions difficult.  As she struggled with everyday tasks, Alana realized the lack of products and technologies dedicated to assisting those with similar disabilities.  She founded Boon with the goal of assisting consumers in accessing technology and helping them live full lives.
